Bobby's 30th Birthday Bash

Okay, so it was two weekends ago..but it has been a crazy month I tell you! I am posting the pictures tonight since I have quite a few of our friends and family asking for the pictures already ;-) (And yes, I will do the same for the camping pictures soon, Anna and Sarah!)

As for my husband's 30th Birthday on Dec. 7th, we had a special dinner at Roy's Restaurant with his sisters and brother-in-law. The food and dessert there were scrumptious!! We celebrated his big 3-0 on the 8th with our friends and his mom even drove from Orlando to be a part of it. We had a big cookout and the deer nuggets and Mike's pulled pork were a big hit that night. One of Bobby's friends, Roger, brought his band, The Homesteaders, and jammed some bluegrass tunes for us. At the end, Roger sang a cappella of Happy Birthday to Bobby and everyone joined in as Bobby blew the candles on his golf cake :) It was such a perfect birthday night--great friends and family, great food, great weather..and we had a mysterious cat (whom we named, Sunkissed, Morris, and OB--don't ask what OB stands for) joined us for fun that night. Bobby and I fell in love with that cat and hung out with us all night, and we hope it would come back the next day...but never did...and when we were just ready to give up on Morris to ever come back, he showed up again tonight and chilled with us. Thus, motivating me even more to put the blog on Bobby's 30th Bday Bash tonight.

Oh yeah, I can't find a song from the Homesteader to post in my blog..but do check out their MySpace page to hear their music!

Enjoy the pictures and thanks to all that came--it was a great turnout :)

xoxo

Happy Birthday!!

Bobby found a new hobby...hunting (I am not a big supporter of it at all!) and his friends got him a tree stand:

He was so stoked that he had to try it out outside in our backyard, but our tree was too small..and well, after too many drinks--we all didn't think it was too safe:

It's a New Day!

I'm a sucker at heart for romantic songs, and I must confess that I love Celine Dion!! She's an awesome and a beautiful singer, and I had the privilege to see her live in concert on my bachelorette night out with the girls in Las Vegas. Her sweet voice just touches my heart, sends that tingly feeling down my spine, and evokes a tear out of my eye. Aaron and I got to see the taping of her last concert show at Tinseltown tonight, and it brought great memories of Vegas all over again...::takes a deep breath and lovingly sighs::... The showing tonight was sold out and believe it or not, Aaron and I were the first ones to be there. It started at 7:30 pm, but we got there at 5 pm! Just call us Celine-nerds ;-) ...or maybe, I got the show time mixed up.. ;-)

Rebekah was there, too, along with her mom and sister. They are Celine-fanatics as well! ;-) We were being silly and took pictures in the theater before the showing started.

By the way, Celine is touring around the world right now...and she will be in FL sometime in January of 2009....hmmn...I really should get the tickets now before they get sold out...but as for right now, I'm just stoked that I'm going to see Hannah Montana in January of 2008!! That is going to be another blog story later ;-)

Much love and happiness to all of you :)

Here's the picture of the girls and I when we went to see her in concert at Caesar's Palace. Rebekah went with us, but she's not in the picture (nor my mom, Bobby's mom and aunt, Lori's mom, and Laura's mom...and my brother Jazon, who went for Scarlett since she was stuck at an airport in Texas that night.. bummer):

G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S

It has been a busy week and a half since my last blog as we are getting close to Christmas. First, I would like to say HAPPY (Belated) 30th BIRTHDAY to my wonderful husband, Bobby :) His special day was on Dec. 7th, which was also our Engagement Anniversary. Since we are newlyweds, I guess that anniversary doesn't pertain anymore ;-)

As for tonight's post, I would love to introduce to you all the hot and glamorous diva, Scarlett Lillian. She's a wonderful friend and photographer--and not to mention, an awesome model as well :) Scar and I go way back in high school and had those times when we just communicated via email forwards in college. We rekindled our friendship through our love for photography just a little over a year ago. Scarlett was only not a guest at our wedding but our photographer in Vegas. So this time, it was my turn to be behind the camera and her turn to "model" for us (Bobby was there with me as always helping out with my camera bag). I always wanted to work on my night shots and always been a big fan of Gisele Bundchen. I love that cover picture of Gisele on Vanity Fair's Sept 2007 issue and wanted to re-create that glitzy-glam look. The weather at Jax Beach two weekends ago was just perfect for a night shooting, and Scar and I definitely took advantage of it. Below are the fun G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S pictures--so have fun!!

Oh yes, just want to say thank you to my husband for being there and "protecting" my model from crazy guys! Guys were walking up to us, whistling and wondering if Scarlett was really a celebrity. One guy even took pictures from his own camera--I just hope he won't use it for indecent purposes... ;-)

Here's the cover picture I wanted to re-create:

...and here's my version of the cover picture...

...okay, so it's not exactly the same...but you got the idea :)

Here are some of my favorite shots of the night:

Here is a picture of Scarlett's biggest fan that Bobby had to scold because he was getting a little too comfy with Scar (notice the look on her face):

Towards the end of the session, Scar and I just goofed off (she sure was one hot cookie that night!):

Thanks for checking out my blog!!!!!!!

Picture Perfect Family

The O'Keefe boys are the cutest blue-eyed blondies ever! I had the opportunity to capture the family portraits at their beautiful home in St. Augustine, FL. One thing I learned from that shoot is that the first 20 minutes are the most crucial part...and after that, the little ones don't want their pictures taken anymore. One would smile and the other would frown or look away. I could never get everyone to smile and look at the camera at the same time...but I, actually, am glad that they did not. It is more fun to capture shots full of life and emotions instead of "stiff" shots :)

I am currently having firewall issues with my new slideshow program, and I hate to delay posting the pictures in my blog any longer. So for now, enjoy the slideshow from Slide.com. Thank you :)
