Girls Night Out = Little Black Dress

Exactly a year ago was my Bachelorette Party in Las Vegas, and all of the girls were wearing black dresses/outfits for the Celine Dion concert. That was the best concert that I have ever been to in my life!! That was also the best Bachelorette Party ever!! Fun dinner at the Flamingo, Celine Dion's concert at Caesar's Palace, midori sours at Bellagio's Caramel Club..then the best part.. a limo ride down the strip--we were such dorks in that limo! ;-) My wonderful brother Jazon hung out with us and paid for the limo and drinks--isn't he the best? :) Kellie--you rock for getting us all in for FREE at Tao (one of the hottest clubs in Vegas!) and getting us in the VIP section. Wow, I just wanna relive that moment... well, tonight, I will semi relive the fun moment with the girls. As many of you know, the Sex and the City movie premieres today..and hello, black dress :) I'm going to meet up with Scarlett, Jess and a few other girls tonight for dinner, drinks and movie :) It's almost time to get ready, and I'm still contemplating on which black dress to wear...hmmn....

I will leave you with some fun pictures from Vegas last year :)

The other photos were taken on 5.30.07 but that was around midnight when we were still hanging out at Freemont :)

Congratulations, Julia & Jimmy!!

I've never seen a beautiful smile such as Julia's on the day she married her love, Jimmy, on May 17th. Bobby and I are good friends with the Paredes family and had the pleasure to capture this amazing couple's wedding in Savannah. Julia's side of the family and friends welcomed us with open arms, and the whole weekend was simply fabulous! Even though we didn't get to walk around the city as we would have liked to do, this couple and their bridal party were such troopers to jump up and down for the pictures in the heat! Julia & Jimmy, thank you for having us capture the magic of your special day! Enjoy the pictures below :) Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it.

Citizenship Party :)

In lieu to the Memorial Day weekend and my recent citizenship, Bobby and I threw an All-American themed party at the house. We provided grilled ribs and chicken legs, and our friends brought yummy desserts and sides..from the American flag cake to collard greens, from the red-white-and-blue pizza brownie to homestyle potato salad :) Everyone enjoyed the US Government and History Trivia, and of course (with no doubt), Team Rob & Anna got the most correct answers. They won the DVD door prize, "Coming to America" with Eddie Murphy in it. Almost all of the questions in the quiz are the questions that I have to study for the Citizenship test. It was tough, but I'm sure that it's not for a 5th grader. ;-)

Game Nights

I love board games! My favorite game in the world is Scrabble and any thing else that is mind-stimulating. Board games are a fun way to have people get together and just enjoy each others company :) Lori, we need to play another round of Catch Phrase! Mel & Brad, we still need to plan for a game night one night. Paredes family, ya'll are a trip with board games!

Here's a picture of us after playing Catch Phrase at Nicole's house (yes, I looked beat but it was a great "winning" night!):

Networking with other photogs in town, Mel & Brad. Mel, I know you read my blog, so save a date for a game night soon ;-)

Showering Katie with Love :-)

Katie, you're gonna be a beautiful bride and thank you sooo much for having me a part of your day in a special way! I took these pictures below with my point-n-shoot Nikon, and what I was thinking? Haha.. that's right, I was running late b/c I had a "clothing meltdown" and forgot to bring my DLSR. ;-P

Enjoy!

Awesome Blog!!

My Tuesday morning didn't jump start in a fun way today..I must have eaten something that made me sick all night and this morning...I'll spare you from the info, and pretty much, I feel sooo sick today that my boss from my Marketing job told me to go home and take care of myself. So I got home and of course, I have to check my blog and other people's blogs first before taking a nap...and I noticed that someone has viewed my blog and posted one of my pictures in her blog... www.manolobrides.com

Yay--that just brightened my day!! Although, the blog is about finding alternative tuxes for our men (ie-Keith's Volcom tux), she was too sweet to put a little caption underneath my picture linking to my site :) I checked out her blog and instantly fell in love with it. I love her topics, tips, honesty and simply her candor.

Okay.. now that just made my day even though I can't enjoy food right now....

What a Wonderful Weekend!

I had sooo much fun this weekend in Savannah photo shooting Jimmy and Julia's wedding with Bobby! I am really tired, but I can't sleep...so I decided to play with my new 40D. I like it a lot!! I also have this French song stuck in my head. Gotta love staying at hotels b/c I get to watch HBO :) One of my favorite movies, The Devil Wears Prada, was on, and it had that song Dream a Little Dream of Me in French playing...so now, I've been humming to that tune all weekend long.

Here's a teaser to Julia and Jimmy's wedding, enjoy!

God does Listen!

No matter how much I try to be nice to everyone and sensitive to everyone's feelings...not everyone will be happy of what I do.. definitely not everyone.. so when I decided today that I'm sick and tired of being nice and Ms. Goody Two-Shoes all the time b/c I will somehow offend people no matter what.. God just gave me a revelation and told me to look up this verse and really take it upon my heart...

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." - John 15:18-19 NIV

Okay, that just blew me away...what was I thinking? Jesus went through so much pain in the world.. and here I am complaining...the Lord is good--He knows how to comfort my soul and give me cheese with my "whine." :)

Muddy Buddy with the Family

I'm in between packing to get ready for my first ever destination wedding and trying to get my blog updated as well. The wedding will be in Savannah, and Julia and Jimmy are flying down all the way from Chicago. That would have been fun, too, if my destination wedding is in Chicago, but I'm excited that it will be in Savannah as well :) Can't wait!

For now, enjoy the updated Muddy Buddy slideshow. I included the family pictures this time :)
