Fun Session at Jax Beach

Waking up before the crack of dawn definitely pays off for a great photo session. We were all super excited with our photo session last weekend even if that meant waking up at 5 am! We all had so much fun at the beach that next thing we knew, it was already after 10 am and the sun was just unbearable. That was when we called it a wrap and cooled off at Starbucks.

John has always been like my little brother even though he's towering over me. As I mentioned before in my
previous blog, I've known his family since 1997. I really thank God for blessing me with awesome friends :) I am also so proud of John to have a sweet and beautiful wife. It was very obvious they are full of love and very happy to have each other when I was taking pictures of them. Enjoy the slideshow below. Be sure to click on the pictures to enlarge it!

Yay for jumping shots!

She reminds me of Jessica Simpson :)

Keep off ;-)

They both had lots of energy at 7 am!

She is trying to imitate the Roxy model--too funny!

They both love the same shot that I took of Erika & David back in April :)

Gotta love the Scandinavian look :)

Dancing with the Stars ;-)

More fun shots at Jax Beach :)

My favorite!!

Upcoming Photos

I've been spending more time with Bobby and our friends last week and this week, so I have hardly done any photo editing after I get home from my other day job. Several of you have been asking for the Sea World pictures, and I promise I'll post them soon. For now, here are some teaser pictures for the upcoming blog posts. Be sure to click on each picture to enlarge it.

Bobby tempting the stingray with a dead shrimp...obviously, it didn't work :-(

That's Jen and Aaron next to us in the background--I love friends who will go anywhere with us at the last minute! I also love the dolphin pool reflection on Bobby's sunglasses in this picture :)

Have a positive energy week, everyone :)

Silver Lining

I BELIEVE.

I believe that every cloud has a silver lining and good things will come out from every bad situation.

People say, "you should never feel hopeless because difficult times always lead to better days."

"No matter how bad and stormy things seem to be right now, ultimately, there's hope and a ray of sunshine just waiting to get through - and that you're gonna be just fine in the end."

With my case of all bad lucks this week (and Friday the 13th is just mere superstitious), I will continue to believe that someone out there will turn in my camera memory cards.

**NEW NOTE**
Thank you all sooo much for believing with me! I am thankful to prayers, to friends and to Jesus and happy to announce that my memory cards have been recovered--YAY! Mel, no, they weren't stolen. I put them in my shorts pocket after a photo session that I did at the beach this past Saturday...pretty much, went home.. and they were gone...I went back to the beach later that night before it got dark..traced all my "footsteps" around town...went back to Starbucks (b/c that's where I had them last when I was viewing the cards in my camera), Roy's area, Sunrise Surf Shop, Beach Bowl and asked all those vendors if they have the cards in their lost and found area..I've cleaned out my car several times, my camera bag, checked my shorts pocket again and even simulated my actions to see how the cards would fall out of my pocket...let's just say that God eventually felt sorry for me and my card reappeared in His glory!! Thank you to those sweet people that helped me look for them :) Steph, I'm taking your advice--I'm going to write down "For Cash Reward!" on the back of all my memory cards along w/ my contact info :)

John & Kadri are in Town :)

John & Kadri are back in the States this year to visit their families. John is Erika and Caroline's brother--remember their photo session back in April? Bobby and I are so happy that John and Kadri got to come over tonight at the house for desserts. It was a short visit, but "sweet" indeed :) I just found out that John & Kadri are both photography enthusiasts, as well.. and it's nice to have people appreciate my work. It was so cute to watch them both getting all excited over my Canon cameras and lenses--haha, just like how I am when I'm at a camera store ;-)

They just bought a Nikon D40, and Kadri taught me a lot about Nikon cameras since I really don't know how to use one ;-) In turn, I let her use my Canon gears and the Gary Fong diffuser. Apparently, Gary Fong stuff have not made it big in Sweden yet. Kadri really likes it, and I wonder if Gary ships items to Sweden? Hmmn....

For now, enjoy our group shot taken at out kitchen..

Congratulations, Jackie & Mad Dog!

Bobby and I visited the proud Mommy and Daddy today at the hospital and got to see Baby AE. Her tiny feet and fingers are so wrinkly but way too cute! Her eyes and beautiful smile just want to make you melt. Her soft skin and silky (not to mention, tons!) hair are just simply amazing. Naturally, I had to bring my camera tonight and take gazillion photos. Looking through the pictures tonight kind of made me wish that I held her.... Bobby and I opted out on holding her because we were both scared. Newborn babies are too fragile, and call me silly, but I'm just afraid to hold them because of their soft and tender heads and pretty much, everything about them. I will wait when Baby AE is 24 months old, when her bones are strong and tough, for me to hold her! Haha--that probably won't stay true.

I'm waiting to take more pictures when Baby AE arrives home before I compile a slideshow and share it with you guys. For now, I'm posting a group photo of us (Kev, we just missed you for the group photo!). Be sure to click on the photo to enlarge it :)

Just one teaser photo, below is one of my many favorites. It made me think of the movie, Juno, and "fingernails." Which by the way, I loooove that movie. Has anyone else seen it? If so, what do you think of it?

Just for fun, below is the movie trailer for Juno. Make sure to turn off my lil' Jukebox first, which is on the left hand column and towards the bottom of the page.

Cool Pool

What's a great way to cool off during the summer heat? Have fun in the pool :) The gang decided to hit the pool tonight since Katie is getting ready for her honeymoon at the Keys. She and Kevin are going snorkeling, and she wanted to learn how beforehand. Too cute ;-) Bobby and I opted out on getting chlorine-smelled but still had fun at the pool with everyone along with the singing tree frogs (yuck!).

Girls Just Wanna Get "Carried" Away

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was doing the count down to the Sex and the City movie since last summer, and it was so great to finally see it last Friday night with bunch of girlfriends who love fashion and the show as well :) Scarlett, Rachel, Jess, Becky, Kenzie and I celebrated the movie premiere by dressing up with our fun dresses and high heels. Then we went to bb's restaurant for awesome dinner and drinks. I had midori sour instead the classic SATC drink, the cosmo. ;-)

The movie was sooooo good, and I definitely want to see it again and again! All throughout the movie, I kept chuckling on how I am so much alike with Charlotte! I looove her--so naive, so OCD-anal, so content and so full of love! I think what keeps drawing the fans to these four girls are their real friendship--each one is so different from each other, but they all have managed to keep the bond stronger all the time no matter what. Gotta love the eccentric Carrie Bradshaw quotes, as well as the shoes in this movie! Wouldn't it be nice if we all can afford the $500 Manolo Blahnik shoes!! This is definitely a must-see movie (except for it's raunchy parts)!!

Here's a little slideshow that I created with the show's theme song:

With all of our cameras combined, we felt like papparazis were following us because of constant picture-taking!

Long live our love and the King! Cheers to my husband!

Photo by our dear friend, Scarlett Lillian :-)

We both had a piece of our frozen wedding cake to commemorate our First Year Anniversary :)

..And exactly a year ago to this day...Bobby landed an airplane for the first time at Sonora, CA! Thanks, Rachel & Geoff, for a wonderful time up in the air, and Happy 1 Year Anniversary to you both tomorrow :) We were all crazy but AWESOME for planning our weddings two days apart!
