Chandy Trashing the Bridesmaid Dress

Rachel, Chandy and I woke up early that morning after a wedding in New Orleans for some yummy beignet at Cafe Du Monde before we all headed to the airport. With an hour more to spare after breakfast, I jokingly mentioned to Chandy that it would be so fun to trash her bridesmaid dress in New Orleans. I was stoked when she willingly agreed, so therefore, we rushed back to our rental car, Chandy put on the dress right there in the middle of the New Orleans street.. and viola, we had sooo much fun photo-shooting for just about 30 minutes all over Decatur Street :)

If you have a bridesmaid or even an old prom dress that you just don't know what to do with it now that the occasion is over, contact me for an awesome "Trash the Dress" photo session!

Kathy's Fun Session

Kathy had always wanted new "professional pictures" that she can post in Facebook.  I always wanted to photo shoot an urban-look at this junk yard I found driving around in St. Augustine a couple of months ago.  So therefore, Kathy & I joined forces and did the session about a week and a half ago.

I always brought up the location to my engaged clients, but no one seemed to take the bait.  I don't blame them...a pit bull happens to be guarding the place, and I didn't know that until Kathy and I got there.  I tried so hard not to show fear as the dog was sniffing at us, but he turned out to be a super friendly dog.  Now I wish that I incorporated some shots with the pit bull.

Enjoy the pictures, and oh yeah, Kathy is Bobby's sister :)  They're not twins, but a lot of people think they are :)

New Orleans, LA Wedding

**Due to privacy of the couple, I had to revise this blog and remove pictures showing their identity. The link to the slideshow has been disabled as well, thank you. 11.30.10 **

Beautiful Bride + Gorgeous Groom = Wonderful Wedding!

I had the pleasure to travel earlier this month and capture their special day, which took place in this quaint little town right outside of New Orleans. My best friend from college, Rachel, who second shot with me before at Morgan & David's wedding, flew to New Orleans as well to assist me at the wedding.

Even though it got dark fast during the ceremony and had little time until the reception started, we managed to capture some intimate shots of the beautiful couple. The wedding was fabulous and the food that was served, the centerpiece details, the delicious cake, the precious flowers, and the bridesmaids' delicate ball gown dresses, topped it all off.

Congratulations!

Film Session with the A Bryan Photo Guys :)

I have to admit that I was a "film-snob" for awhile and shot only on film, and then I discovered the instant bliss that I get when shooting in digital.  Besides, digital is earth-friendly ;-)  The film photo session at A Bryan Photo Workshop definitely brought back a lot of nostalgia.  I truly enjoyed doing things manually and the film days.  Hmmn..I might revisit this area one day and offer film to my clients :)

For now, here's a film picture taken by one of the guys at the workshop group, Steven Devries

First shot

Second try and a funny shot from all of us

Third try is a lucky charm--everyone is in the picture :) Yay!!

Ruby & Mike are Superstars!

You may remember Ruby and Mike from their teal and black wedding at the Jacksonville Zoo last month.  Their love for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and tying that along with anything that has to do with teal and black landed them a featured spot in Truly Engaging's blog,  which is a really awesome informative site for all of the wedding resources and ideas that you need.  :)

I was in Birmingham this past Tuesday when the pictures were posted and just now getting around to blog it today! Check out the site at
www.trulyengaging.com under the April 21st post :) Yippee!! :-D

Thank you, Ms. Heidi @ Truly Engaging, for the sweetest post ever and for making Ruby & Mike superstars in your blog :)

FYI this Week

Hello!

Just a heads up that I'm in Birmingham, AL almost this whole week for A Bryan Photo's photography workshop, and then I'm off to Miami on Friday for a wedding that weekend. I do get your emails, and I promise to get back to you during my free time from the workshop :) I also get your calls, and please bear with me for just this week. The workshop is all day and then we get treated to a dinner. I'd like to talk to you for more than just five minutes, and I promise to stay in touch soon :)

For now, here's another sneak peek of what you will find in my blog soon. I had the pleasure to capture this wedding** two Saturdays ago in this cozy lil' town right outside New Orleans. Enjoy!

Lots of fun sessions coming up soon!  Here are a couple of sneak peeks for now--enjoy :) This one is with Chandy's Bridesmaid Trash the Dress Session in New Orleans!

And here is Bobby's fabulous sister, Kathy, rocking that green scarf at this fun location I found...but lo and behold, there was a pit bull dog guarding the place.  Eh, turned out to be a really friendly dog!

Soucki & Rob are Engaged!!

It is such joy to photo-shoot a sweet engagement session with another fun couple, Soucki & Rob. They were both awesome for waking up so early in the morning and looking so suave for the session. Soucki looked great in the teal dress, and the eyeshadow complemented her sultry eyes very well.

After some formal-wear shots around St. Augustine, we decided to hit the beach because the weather was so perfect on that day for a beach session. It had been raining every day of the week prior to their e-session, and God is so good to provide us with a breezy sunny day just for that one day!

We all had a blast photo-shooting at the beach. Rob looked like he came out from a movie set in Miami with his white linen clothes. I'm so glad that Soucki got to convince him to walk in the middle of the water fountain for pictures. I was very happy with how the pictures turned out although I got myself semi-soaked and almost sacrificed my camera. Enjoy the pictures :)
