Kim & Michael's Engagement Session is Featured! - Jacksonville, FL Wedding Photographer

So fun to see a message first thing this morning from the lovely wedding event planner, Cassandra of Flaire Weddings and Events, letting me know that Kim & Michael's adorable engagement pictures are featured today in The Florida Bride's Blog! YAY!!

I'm so touched that not only Kim & Michael's pictures are featured there, but by the "warm-fuzzy" note that Cassandra wrote on the blog!

It seems that the creative bar for engagement sessions is continually being pushed further and further as many couples try to plan a shoot that truly showcases their relationship. Kim and Michael’s engagement session with sweet photographer Corinna Hoffman was no exception. This adorable couple had originally planned an outdoor shoot, as many couples choose, but due to some severe weather, decided to relocate their shoot to the home of Kim’s parents (which is gorgeous by the way!). Corinna’s creativity really came through in this shoot, and Kim and Michael obviously had a blast participating in all the fun poses and scenes. We absolutely love the shots where they are making Valentine’s, and the baking scenes in the kitchen! They did get a tiny weather break and managed to capture some outdoor shots as well. Enjoy!

Thank you, and I strive to keep thinking out of the box because of all the encouragement and support I get from my family, friends, clients, and peers :)

XOXO

Apple iPad!!

I'm such an Apple geek and SO stoked that Apple once again developed another world-changing innovative tool, the iPad! We all get it, it sounds like the feminine product, but props to Steve Jobs, to Apps developers, and to everyone that worked on making this space-age looking device possible! I watched the unveiling of the gadget yesterday through live streamline videos, and I'm even more excited that it's affordable!

If you don't know what I'm talking about--either you live in a remote part of the world or just don't care for Apple,
CLICK HERE for the minute-by-minute coverage of yesterday's unveiling event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, CA :)

I can't wait to get my hands on one of these awesomeness! I think this is a breakthrough on how many visual artists (from a photographer like myself to graphic designers and so on) can present their portfolios and artwork to clients and to just anyone in the world :) Though, I might just wait for the second generation. After all, I did wait two years until I finally switched to AT&T and owned my very first iPhone 3GS :)

Baby's 1st Session - Jacksonville, FL Baby & Family Photographer

Yay!! I'm so happy that I finally got to take pictures of Baby L and showcase some of them here in the blog :) She came out a month early, but she's doing fine and lovely. Our first session didn't really go as planned due to baby's orthopedic needs, but we are all hoping and praying that we can do "baby little bug" pictures at the next session! The proud parents, Sarah and Mike, decided to have the Yearbook session with me where I will be photographing Baby every quarter until she turns one year old. I will also compile all the pictures together and have a slideshow ready by then as well :) For now, enjoy the pictures!

Kim & Michael's Engagement Session - Jacksonville, FL Wedding Photographer

Rain or shine, we did Kim and Michael's engagement photo session last Saturday. We've been planning for this since before the holidays, but it had been SO cold in Florida that we had to reschedule. This time the rain wasn't going to stop us, and Kim had suggested a Plan B on having it done at her parent's house. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but when Bobby and I showed up there, we just knew that there will be plenty of wonderful photo ops for their engagement session :) What a beautiful home!

We had SO much fun coming up with creative ideas while we were cooped up inside the house! Luckily, there was about a 30-minute break from the rain. We all ventured outside where it was very windy and a bit misty, yet this couple managed to rock the outdoor shots :)

Kim and Michael, congratulations to the both of you!! It was our pleasure to meet Kim's family, and thank you SO much for being a sport and having fun around the house for pictures :) We can't wait for your March wedding!

XOXO
